Another new game was just released as an early-access title on Steam. Developer PlayWithFurcifer launched Backpack Battles on March 8, 2024, and reviews so far have been pretty great. So much so that the game reached the 100,000 copies sold milestone in less than two days. Suffice it to say, Backpack Battles is another new hit of 2024. The developer has also released an early access roadmap for the game and all in all, there’s a lot of content planned for it. While players are eagerly waiting for the full release, many are also particularly excited for a Backpack Battles mobile release. But is there a plan for one? And if there’s one, then when exactly is it releasing? All details regarding the same are shared here.
Over the past few years, a lot of PC games have made their way over to mobile. From Brotato and Dead Cells to Moonlighter and Streets of Rage 4, a lot of great games are now playable on mobile platforms. And the trend continues with upcoming titles like Loop Hero and Hades. A lot of Backpack Battles players are happily enjoying the game on their PCs and have remarked just how fun the game would be on mobile. But is there an official announcement regarding Backpack Battles on mobile?
Backpack Battles Mobile version for Android & iOS devices release date: When is it coming?
At the time of publishing this, PlayWithFurcifer hasn’t officially announced a mobile version of Backpack Battles. However, this doesn’t mean that there are no plans for one. In fact, PlayWithFurcifer has stated in the past that there’s a good chance for a mobile and Nintendo Switch release in the future.
In fact, the game’s FAQ also states that once the PC release is done, the developers will “talk about” a mobile port. So, if you want to enjoy Backpack Battles on mobile, then you will have to wait a while for it.
The Steam FAQ section of the game states that Backpack Battles will be in early access for “probably around 3 to 6 months, depending on when we and the community feel the game flows well.” So, at least for six months or so, you can throw away the hopes for a mobile release. Right now, all you need to do is wait for the release of Version 1.0. And even after that, it will at least take some time for PlayWithFurcifer to port Backpack Battles to mobile. But will the game be available for both Android and iOS? Well, that’s usually the case with most mobile ports and it should be the same with Backpack Battles too.
Anyway, that’s all the information we have on this. Additionally, you can also take a quick look here if you happen to be encountering a family-sharing issue with the game. And for more such content, keep following DigiStatement. Also read: Backpack Hero Blurry Issue: Is there any fix yet
