Auto-Battlers have been getting popular in the last few years, and the genre continues to see new and great titles like Mechabellum, Warpips, Gladiator Guild Manager, and many more. And just recently, we got yet another new title called Backpack Battles. Developed by PlayWithFurcifer, the game’s getting a lot of good reviews and has even gone on to sell 100,000 copies in just less than two days. All in all, Backpack Battles is a great little title and new players are frequently joining in on the fun. And now, a lot of players want to know if Backpack Battles support mods, HDR, ultrawide, super ultrawide, AMD FSR 3, and DLSS. Well, we are here to share details on the same.
From modding to upscaling technologies, there are a lot of features that players like to use when it comes to PC games. Mod support is especially one of the features that is particularly in high demand, irrespective of the genre or the scale of a game. Furthermore, having beforehand knowledge of whether a feature you like is supported or not in a game is always recommended. So, does Backpack Battles support mods, HDR, ultrawide, super ultrawide, AMD FSR 3, and DLSS? Well, let’s go ahead and find out.
Backpack Battles game Mod, HDR, Ultrawide (21:9), Super Ultrawide (32:9), AMD FSR 3 & DLSS Support Details
At the time of publishing this, Backpack Battles doesn’t happen to have official mod support. Now, while there might be no official mod support right now, PlayWithFurcifer hasn’t outright banned modding. In fact, you can mod the game if you want, provided the mods stick to visual changes and don’t interfere with or modify the in-game values and mechanics. You can take a look at the image below to learn some ground rules regarding modding:
Just like mods, the game also doesn’t have native HDR support. However, we do know that Windows Auto-HDR features work with it, so you can use that as an alternative if you want. Also, if you were expecting to enjoy Backpack Battles in ultrawide and super ultrawide then be ready for disappointment. There’s no official support for both ultrawide and super ultrawide either.
As for AMD FSR 3 and DLSS, that too isn’t available in the game right now. And, to be honest, it doesn’t really need any upscaling options. The system requirements for Backpack Battles are so low that even the most low-end PC can run it without any major issues. So, adding upscaling technologies into the game isn’t really necessary when dev time for that can be used to add in some other feature. Plus, with no player demand for FSR 3 and DLSS, we don’t think Backpack Battles will ever get these features.
Well, that’s all the information we have on this. Additionally, you can also take a quick look here if you want to know whether Secrets of Grindea also supports the same features.
