Avatar Frontiers of Pandora 3rd person mod Is it available (2)

With its recent release on Steam on June 17th, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has gone mainstream on all fronts and now everyone can try out being a Na’vi and exploring Pandora. Perhaps you are already doing your exploration and for some reason, the first-person perspective is not connecting with you. Well, we get it; it is all a matter of preference and honestly, with all the vibrant flora and fauna around, the FPP mode can be too much during long gaming sessions. The game does not have an option to switch to a 3rd person perspective so is there any mod available for this? Keep reading to find out.

Now obviously, the game is not entirely played from a first-person perspective and there are particular moments where the game switches to the third-person mode, e.g., when riding a mount or during some cutscenes. Seeing the game switch to TPP is what made some players like yourself wonder about the possibility of a third-person perspective mod. Well, let’s see if such a mod is available right now.

Unfortunately, as of now, there is no third-person mod available for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and there is no way to change the in-game perspective from first-person to third-person. Even though many players would love to see their character and the beautiful world of Pandora from a third-person perspective, this option does not exist. Mod hosting sites, such as NexusMods, do have a variety of mods available for the game, but these mods are mostly focused on improving textures, adding reshades, and making other visual enhancements. There are mods that can change the look and feel of the game, making it more visually appealing or adding new textures, but none of these mods can change the perspective to third-person. In a nutshell, there are no third-person mode mods available for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora at this time.

Will it be available?

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was initially released in December 2023 on various platforms, but it was available on PC via Epic Games and Ubisoft Connect. It has not been long since the release of the game, so it is understandable why there are not many major game-changing mods available right now. The modding community, however, is a resilient and creative one. Given enough time and motivation, modders are likely to develop a third-person mode for the game. After all, there are third-person mods available for other first-person games. So, as the player base grows and more people become interested in playing the game in the TPP mode, we expect modders to come up with more innovative and game-changing mods, including the much-desired third-person perspective. So, don’t lose hope yet, and keep your eyes out for new mods on sites like Nexus Mods. But at the end of the day, it is nothing but speculation on our part so do take it with a pinch of salt.

Anyway, that is it for this guide. We hope your doubts on this matter are cleared. Now, for all your other gaming-related queries, make sure to visit DigiStatement regularly. Read more: Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Crashing on Steam Deck: How to fix it?
