ARK Ascended Dino wipe command details

In the world of ARK, where you will have to survive while dealing with prehistoric creatures roaming, you are once again drawn into the dino world with ARK Survival Ascended. As the sequel to the renowned ARK: Survival Evolved, Ascended promises an even grander adventure, amplified by Unreal Engine 5’s cutting-edge technology. That being said, both returning veterans and newcomers to the game may be confused with the console commands. Well, we are bringing this up because, in this guide, we will tell you all you need to know about the Dino wipe command in ARK Survival Ascended.

The dino wipe command in ARK Survival Ascended serves a crucial purpose: it clears out all dinosaurs and creatures from the game world. While this might seem counterintuitive at first, there are several reasons why you might want to use it. For one, it can help reset the ecosystem, allowing new creatures to spawn and refresh the environment. Additionally, if your base or territory has become overrun with aggressive or unwanted creatures, a dino wipe can provide a clean slate, allowing you to rebuild without interference. Furthermore, in multiplayer servers, periodic dino wipes can help maintain balance and prevent overcrowding. A recent save issue in the game can also be fixed with this command. So, knowing what it is is very crucial for a stable ARK experience.

The steps to perform a dino wipe in Ark Survival Ascended vary slightly depending on the platform you’re playing on. Below, we have discussed how to execute the command on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S separately. Whether you’re using a keyboard and mouse or a controller, we have got you covered.

PC

Performing a dino wipe in ARK: Survival Ascended is a relatively simple process. Here’s a detailed step-by-step guide:

  • Access Console: Begin by pressing the “~” key on your keyboard while in-game to open the console prompt window at the bottom of the screen.
  • Enable Cheats: In the console prompt, type “EnableCheats” as one word, followed by a space. Then, type your admin password. This enables cheat mode, allowing you to use administrative commands.
  • Execute Command: Once cheats are enabled, type “cheat DestroyWildDinos” as one word in the console prompt and hit the “Enter” key to execute the command. You may see a message indicating “slow frame rate detected”, which is normal.
  • Completion: After executing the command, all wild dinosaurs will disappear from the game world. They will begin to repopulate within a few minutes.

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S

For PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players, accessing console commands and using the dino wipe command involves a few steps:

  • Pause the Game: Press the designated button on your controller to pause the game.
  • Navigate to Settings: From the pause menu, navigate to the settings menu and then the “Advanced Settings” option.
  • Enable Console Access: Once in the Advanced settings, find the option for “Console Access” and turn it on.
  • Use Console Commands: To use a specific console command, pause the game again. This time, you should see a small option on the left side of the pause menu labeled “Console Commands”.
  • Access Console Command Interface: Tap on the “Console Commands” option, and the console command interface will appear on the screen.
  • Enter Command: If you have a keyboard plugged in, you can type in the desired command. In this case, to clear out all wild dinosaurs, type “cheat DestroyWildDinos” exactly as you would on a PC and hit OK.

With those steps, you should be able to wipe out the dinosaurs in Ark Survival Ascended. We hope this was informative. Don’t forget to bookmark DigiStatement on your way out for more gaming reads like this! Read more: How to mod Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on Steam Deck
