Apex Legends Mobile is the newest battle royale in the market that has been published by EA for mobile devices. It was released in selected regions a few weeks ago and eventually made the transition to a full global release now being available in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. The developers were very particular about the development and the condition of the game at launch and hence have adopted a policy of strict installation from official sources if the player wants to play the game. Well, when you are playing a BR title like Apex Legends on your mobile, you might want to use a controller to play the game. In this article, we are going to be taking a look at Apex Legends Mobile: How to use a controller.
Apex Legends Mobile: How to use a controller
Apex Legends does not have full controller support on mobile as of yet and the developers are working on it. If you are okay with using a very specific set of controllers and not remapping the buttons on the controller, however, there are a few options you can explore. The support is currently limited to officially licensed controllers from both Xbox and Playstation but we are sure the list will grow fairly quickly as the developers did introduce controller support into PC fairly quickly after the launch of the game. In order to use the controller on the phone, players will have to connect the controller via Bluetooth or via USB to the phone itself. Further, there happen to be some issues regarding the use of controllers with some controllers working on Android while others working on iOS only.
The remapping tool for controllers on mobile is also fairly limited with there being very selected options to remap and these buttons are the ones most people will prefer to leave as default. As of right now, remapping is also not fully functional with the player being lucky if the remap works in the game since some controllers are not officially supported by the game yet. There is hope as there is an in-depth remap menu for the sensitivity and range of motion with the various joysticks and buttons on these controllers. We are sure the developers will work on remapping and controller options and release an update with support for controllers fairly quickly, along similar lines as the PC version of the game. In addition to this, the control scheme can be copied and pasted from the console versions of the game meaning that it will take even less time to get the controller support update to go live in the mobile version of Apex Legends.
