How to fix voice issue in PS5
If you’re having audio issues and party chat while playing your favorite game, chances are this is caused by faulty PSN servers, slower internet connection, outdated software, and improper configurations as well. If you have checked out all of the mentioned issues and can’t hear your friends and join their party, we’ve listed some of the workarounds that you can try to get the audio issue fixed.
Unplug and Reboot your PS5
The classic and usual method that fixes usually the most common problems of consoles is by rebooting and unplugging the PS5. In order to restart your console, hold down the power button located to the left of the console, make sure that the console is completely turned off with no lights turned on and unplug every cable from the console.
Do the same to your modem and router as well and unplug all devices for 10 minutes and plug everything back in and the lights should start blinking as they should. After plugging your PS5 and other devices, power on the console, and the issue should be resolved, if it doesn’t, see the next method.
Check your Wi-FI
If rebooting the console didn’t fix the issue, it could be your internet connection not working properly, making sure that the connection speeds are not dropping, or verifying connectivity issues. The best connection that is always more reliable and faster is a LAN cable that is connected directly to the back of your PlayStation 5 and your router. If it doesn’t work, you can also try to update the PS5 firmware to the latest version or check the microphone’s level to see if the volume isn’t too low.
