Likewise, the feature gives you an AR glimpse of what your Pokemon looks like in the real world. Additionally, it allows you to take a photo to capture the moment. Thus, your device’s camera is essential for the proper functioning of the Pokemon Go app.

How To Fix Pokemon Go camera not working in 2022Pokemon Go camera

In order to fix the camera not working issue, you have to give all the camera permissions for the Pokemon GO app and also grant all the necessary permissions.

On Android:

  • Tap on your phone Settings
  • Open up Applications in the settings option.
  • Search for the Pokemon GO app in the apps list
  • Tap on Pokemon Go and then, tap on the ‘Permissions’ option to open ‘App Permissions’.
  • Now, grant access to your phone camera by simply turning it on.

On iOS:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap on Privacy.
  • Then, Tap on the Camera to see which apps have access to it.
  • You can allow Pokemon Go using the camera from here.
