Steps to Carve a Pumpkin in Minecraft:
1. Get a Pumpkin Plant:
In order to carve a Pumpkin, a player must find a Pumpkin Plant. You need to get to Extreme Hills or Plains biomes to find one.
2. Equip your Shears:
Place the Shears in your hand, to do that, select the Shears in the Hotbar. Then, just point at the pumpkin in order to highlight them in the game.
3. Use the Shears to get Carved Pumpkin:
You can now use the Shears on the Pumpkin Plant to carve the face. The control to carve the Pumpkin is different as per the version of Minecraft you are using:
- Java Edition (PC/Mac), right-click on the pumpkin.
- Pocket Edition (PE), tap on the pumpkin.
- Xbox 360 and Xbox One, press the LT button on the Xbox controller.
- PS3 and PS4, press the L2 button on the PS controller.
- Wii U, press the ZL button on the gamepad.
- Nintendo Switch, press the ZL button on the controller.
- Windows 10 Edition, right-click on the pumpkin.
- Education Edition, right-click on the pumpkin.
Once a Carved Pumpkin is obtained, 4 pumpkin seeds will be dropped, and now you can add them to your inventory.
4. Dig up the Carved Pumpkin:
Now a player has to dig up the Carved Pumpkin in Minecraft. The game control to dig up the carved pumpkin as per the version of Minecraft you are using:
- Java Edition (PC/Mac), left-click and hold on to the carved pumpkin.
- Pocket Edition (PE), tap and hold on to the carved pumpkin.
- Xbox 360 and Xbox One, press and hold the RT button on the Xbox controller.
- PS3 and PS4, press and hold the R2 button on the PS controller.
- Wii U, press and hold the ZR button on the gamepad.
- Nintendo Switch, press and hold the ZR button on the controller.
- Windows 10 Edition, left click and hold on to the carved pumpkin.
- In Education Edition, left click and hold on to the carved pumpkin.
You will be able to witness the carved pumpkin breaking. Consequently, a smaller carved pumpkin can be found lying on the ground.
5. Pick up the Carved Pumpkin:
Once you pick up the carved pumpkin, it will appear on your Hotbar immediately. Make sure to pick up the carved pumpkin before it disappears.
