It is common knowledge for F1 2021 players that real-world data of F1 is fed into the game to replicate it, similarly with the recent mid-season patch update, various driver stats have been updated on the basis of the real world F1 races that have taken place. This data is updated throughout the season in reflection of the driver’s performance on the track. Each driver is assigned an overall score on the basis of 4 factors, Experience, Racecraft, Awareness, and Pace, once all 4 are scored, then an overall score is given.
The changes in this mid-season patch are on the basis of the 11 races that have taken place up to and including the Hungarian Grand Prix, we have listed the changes below.
A Williams Double Boost
Nicholas Latifi and George Russell have been the strongest movers with their racecraft increasing by +4 and +3 respectively, bringing A Williams first points in almost two years, their overall ratings have also increase by +1 to 75 for Nicholas and 85 for George.
Rookies on the Move
Yuki Tsunoda, Mick Schumacher, and Nikita Mazepin, three drivers in their first F1 cup, who have experienced quite a different season, Yuki Tsunoda have racked up 18 championship points whereas the other two have drivers are stuck on zero, however, they have gained experience, with their experience stat getting a +3 boost. Yuki’s pace has also dropped, being out-qualified by teammate Pierre Gasly, his pace has dropped by -5.
Awareness Drops for Lando and Valtteri

Alonso’s Impressive Return
Fernando Alonso has had a slow start in the first five races, he’s on a 6 race streak of finishing in the points and even placed fourth in Hungary. Alonso having over 300 races under his belt, he has an Experience of 99, which cannot be improved further, his increase of racecraft by +3 , +1 for awareness, +1 for Pace has seen his overall increase to 91.
The Leading Pair
The two racers at the top, Lewis Hamilton, and his biggest rival Max Verstappen have also received a drop in ratings due to mistakes and unfortunate track incidents, Hamiltons awareness has dropped by -4 due to the Silverstone penalty and Max two DNF contributed to his racecraft drop of -3 but a pace increase of +1.
