The sequel to the horror phenomenon from 2016, Layers of Fear 2 has recently been announced for Nintendo Switch. The game was released for Nintendo Switch soon after its announcement three weeks or so ago from when this article was written. Seeing as Layers of Fear 2 was extremely critically acclaimed and received a whopping 9/10 from IGN, horror game fans amongst the Switch community must be jumping with joy at the availability of the game on their devices.
Layers of Fear 2 coming to Nintendo Switch has been a long time coming, and players now experience this psychological thriller-horror game that is actually far more than what meets the eye on their Switch devices for just $29.99. In Nintendo’s synopsis of the game, this is how the game was portrayed: “With an emphasis on exploration and storytelling, Layers of Fear 2 puts you in the centre of the scene. You are not just in character, you are the character. The part you play is singularly yours. Written just for you. Beware, though, for all may not truly be what it seems. Your past has helped to mould you into what you are, forced upon you the skills required to hone your craft. That same past has scraped deep furrowing scars into you, not on the outside where the world can see, but in a place buried so deep within that it has become shapeless. You push those memories down but let the experiences drive you into who, or what, you must play. Darkness surrounds as you stand silently in the spotlight, the only sounds to be heard over your heartbeat are the distant breaking of waves against the hull.
