Dota 2 is a battle arena game developed by Valve Corporation. Today, we will discuss how to make the camera follow the hero of the game.
This is a sequel to the defence of the ancients. While the previous version had done a great job with the graphics this version has been made much more perfectly. The players have but a single goal. They have to destroy the enemy Ancient statue while defending their own. The characters engage in battle simultaneously which is why sometimes they are hard to keep track of. This feature has been asked by many DOTA players, and here is a solution to it.
How to make the camera follow the hero
- You can center the hero concerning your camera by double-clicking on the portrait or by double-clicking on the hero. This might clip some spaces around your hero and you will have less space to move around.
- You can do the same as stated above with the f1 key. This will work the same as stated above, but this is a shortcut. Unfortunately, you cannot go back to the previous camera angle. There is no toggle switch to its original camera position which might be a pain in the neck.
- You can adjust your mouse to center the camera. This will eliminate all the limitations set up in the above two points. You can set the camera declaration for more smooth movements.
These are some of the ways to achieve centering the camera in front of your hero. You can try these for your benefit. The drawback to the first tip is the lack of visibility. You cannot see the neighboring spaces. However, you can follow your hero easily and hence concentrate on the offensive.
