OSU! How to use custom hitsounds

Well OSU is a relatively new term for gamers. OSU is generally a Japanese game that is derived from a Japanese game Owen on. This game is available in Gameboy which is published by Sony and this game is quite famous in Japan. This game requires a paper, pen, and your Gameboy. You have to click on the dots which appeared on the Gameboy and write on the paper. Later in 2001, this was requested as a PC game. This game has quite a fandom. Being a weekly game, OSU has attained quite a large community and there are leaderboards to decide the professionalism in this game.

OSU Hitsounds

Today we are going to discuss how to add custom hitsounds in OSU.

  1. Make sure that your game is not running in the background. Now open the file location of the game. In the sounds folder, navigates to sounds. In that folder select the sound that you want to eliminate.
  2. Download the custom hit sounds library. This library contains a vast amount of hit sounds and you will want to get some of the hitsounds. These sounds are in wav format. Now download that to your local system.
  3. Now drag and drop the songs to your songs folder of OSU. They must be named properly for OSU to recognize them as hitsounds. You can get a variety of hitsounds on the hitsound website. The given format provided by the website must be followed.
  4. Open the OSU game and play your new hitsounds. Remember not to rename or convert your sounds to mp3 format. It may hamper the quality and may disrupt playing the sound.
