League of Legends Patch 11.11 Release Date : When is it coming out ?

The Critical Error on League of Legends can be quite intimidating due to its name alone. Don’t worry, though. We got you covered with some of the best and proven fixes for this error.

End required processes.

Open your task manager by right-clicking your taskbar. Here, ensure you end all processes that are related to RiotGames and League of Legends. Apart from these, you will also want to end all applications that have the ability to display overlay while in-game. Some examples include Discord, Steam, and G-Force.

Delete folders

Next, we will be deleting some folders from the League of Legends game files. Open up the drive that the game is saved on, and navigate to the RiotGames folder. In the League of Legends folder, delete the Config and DATA folders. Don’t worry, we won’t be deleting any vital for function files.

Properties tweaks.

In the League of Legends game files, right-click on the game application and select Properties. Here, go to the Compatibility tab and check “Disable fullscreen optimization” and “Run as an administrator”. This ensures the game will not face any permissions errors.

Suspend firewall software

There is a chance that your third party or Windows antivirus software may be causing the game to misbehave. Temporarily suspend these services and see if that fixes the problem. If you are not comfortable doing this, you can reach out to your security provider and ask them if the service might be interfering with League of Legends.

Ensure your windows is up-to-date

First up, you will want to make sure that you are running the game in the latest version of Windows. To do this, simply type into the Windows search bar, “Updates”. You will find the wizard named “Check for updates”. Click and run it. This will cause your windows to check and automatically install the latest updates. Quite often, this alone can solve your error. If it didn’t don’t worry, we have a few more approaches.

Update system drivers

Click on start and open up your Settings. Click on “Update and Security” and then “Windows Update” from the left sidebar. Click on the “Check for Updates” button, and windows will automatically find and install all the latest updates to your device drivers including your desktop, printer, mice, etc. Alternatively, you can do this from Device Manager individually. Try to launch your game and see if that fixed it.
