For starters, it is recommended that you close the game and then work on a fix. So, after you have closed the game, follow the given steps.

  • According to many tutorial videos, the newest Nvidia drivers are causing the issue. So, to fix it, you need to downgrade your Nvidia drivers. Go to this link and enter your GPU model and download the older drivers. This should fix the issue.
  • Also, if you are getting this error, there is a high possibility that you are running the game on Win 7. Since Win 7 is causing the issue, we recommend you install the latest Windows 10 and the error will be fixed.
  • However, full-screen optimization can also cause this error so, disabling it might fix the issue. To disable full-screen optimization, follow these steps
    • Right-click on the Valorant.exe file and click on Properties.
    • Then, find the Compatibility tab and select the Disable Full-Screen Optimizations option, and then hit apply. This will do the trick.
