The new server maintenance will be followed by an update. The new update will bring the version 2.7.0.1 across all the platforms.
Talking about the server status, the Destiny 2 servers will undergo maintenance at 8 AM PST. According to the official statement, the downtime is for an hour, i.e, till 9 AM PST.
