PS5 is set to launch on 2nd Feb 2021 in India and pre-order will start from Jan 12th. The PS5 was officially released in Nov across countries including the US and Canada. So, the console gamers in India finally have something to be happy about after waiting for an additional 2 months for the new PS5.
PS5 India- Availability
The PS5 will be available for pre-orders on popular e-commerce websites including Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, etc. However, if one chooses not to purchase the PS5 through online mode, it will be also available to purchase at some selected authorized retailers. They even thanked the PlayStation enthusiasts in India for their constant support and patience for the PS5.
PS5 India- Pricing
According to the company’s announcements, the Digital Edition of PS5 will cost around Rs 39,999 and the Standard Disk Edition will be costing around Rs 49,999. The overall pricing of the next-gen consoles has increased a bit but keeping in mind the additional performance it manages to achieve with improvements in visual quality, the price seems fair.
Around 3.4 million units of PS5 have been sold across the world in the first month of its launch in Nov. However, in other countries including Europe and NA, consumers couldn’t place any pre-orders as Sony failed considerably to keep up with the supply of the required amount of PS5s.
But the upcoming pre-ordering situation will be much better for the Indian console gamers as Sony has allocated more than enough stocks for the Asian Market as per a report.
With PS5’s launch in India, the sales of the next-gen consoles will be reaching peak numbers for sure if Sony manages to keep the console in stock.
