Dota 2: Heen & Insania talk about the need of new Patch & Rest

Dota 2

A captain of Team Liquid for Dota 2 Aiden “iNSaNiA” Sarkoi shared his opinion about the state of the professional stage. According to the professional, the unpredictable results of the group stage matches of the first division of EPIC League Season 2 can be explained by fatigue, psychological burnout and the tiredness due to unchanged meta for the teams. Sarkoi talked about this during the broadcast on Twitch. Heen also says something similar while praising Navi and Virtus.Pro for their growth in the past few months.

Insania:

“Many teams that have played throughout the season are now just burned out. This is the main reason why we see such a strange group stage [within the EPIC League] where everyone can beat everyone. The teams just got tired of playing tournament after tournament every month, especially with the same meta and recycled heroes. I would not say that the problem is the loss of motivation, most likely, the players really burn out and they do not have enough time. “

Coach of Team Secret Song Guo Heen Lee spoke about the current form of Natus Vincere and Virtus.pro and the need of a new patch to reset. According to him, both teams have improved a lot in recent months, while other teams show an unstable game due to patch fatigue. Heen shared these thoughts during a post-match interview with RuHub studio.

Heen:

“Virtus.pro and Natus Vincere have grown a lot over the past two months, they have been showing great shape for several weeks now. At the same time, now we and many other teams are very unstable. Everyone is very tired of the current patch, so you can play well today and terrible tomorrow. I would not give any predictions for our match with Virtus.pro”.

The new patch for Dota 2 is scheduled to arrive in mid-December after the end of this tournament. We have seen a flurry of the same safelane cores most games. Dominated by Sven, Spectre and Faceless Void this meta is getting quite boring. Team Liquid started the group stage of EPIC League Season 2 with four defeats. After that, the team won three matches in a row. In the next meeting, the iNSaNiA roster will compete with mudgolems.

Team Secret and Virtus.pro share the 2nd and 3rd place in the overall EPIC League Season 2 Division 1 standings. The teams will play a head-to-head match on December 3 at 22:00 Moscow time. The games of the first division of EPIC League Season 2 run from November 12 to December 13. Ten teams compete for a prize pool of $ 500,000.
