Due to the increase in number of COVID-19 cases, governments of almost every nation are forcing lockdown. The world has come to a halt, making it impossible for the Pokemon Go players to go out to explore their region. But, kudos to the creators, who have managed to bring the new events for the Pokemon Go community and promote the stay-at-home-play.
Well, recently, trainers have been participating in new and exciting events. And it looks, a new Pokemon Go event is coming really soon. Stay tuned, here, we will be mentioning all the details we know about the new event.
According to leaked information, a new event called Pokemon GO: Throwback 2020 Event is on the way. The data mined codes suggest that the new event will feature varying & increased spawns across already released gens (1-4).
First week of May – Kanto
Second Week – Johto
Third week – Hoenn
These increased spawn rates will be active for a certain time for a specific region, helping players to complete more of Pokedex sections.

Also, this new event and leaked codes suggest that the arrival of the next generation Pokemon may be closer than expected. If we observe the release pattern closely, before the arrival of the new generation, an event in Pokemon GO helps players complete as much of the previous generation’s Pokedex as possible.
But, as we mentioned earlier, it’s just a leak. No official announcement has been made by the developers yet. But, stay tuned, we will keep you updated with the latest related news and updates.
