New Horizon is full of funny surprises and that is why the game is so endearing to us, isn’t it? Hopefully, you did not miss the last Sunday’s Stalk Market or have turnips stored because this is the guide to sell those turnips. Okay, so Stalk market with its punny name and wordplay of the Stock market is when Daisy Mae wanders around the island with turnips strapped to her head.
Daisy Mae tells about the varying prices of turnips and how her grandmother, Sow Jean (yeah Nintendo is very funny) used to sell them. You can buy those turnips in batches of 10 and no less. Now you can sell them to Timmy & Tommy at Nook & Cranny store. Their buying prices vary day to day and you should visit daily to find the inflated price you want to sell at.
A warning though, your character is a hungry idiot and you can eat all the turnips at once if you misclick, so beware of the investment you are putting into the Stalk market.
Selling at a Profit
Now the basic thing is to purchase low and sell high, but it might not be a lucky day because Timmy & Tommy can be quite fussy. Somedays though you will find the turnips being bought at 420 bells for a single turnip! That’s rare so you shouldn’t make it an objective to wait for such day. The turnips usually expire in a week so you have to sell them.
Another way to sell well is to go to your friend’s island where the selling value is higher to make a profit. It’s quite easy.
Changing Time Method
This method is sort of a hack to the game so if you like playing the game straight this is not for you. You can go to your friend’s island and keep your turnips there. Then coming back to island you change the time to select the best price then get the turnips back to sell them.
