Niantic to fix Pokemon Go Battle League (GBL) lags in the next update

in Gaming, News

March 13 was a big day for Pokemon Go and Niantic providing the much-needed competitive mode where trainers could finally fight other trains and see who comes out stronger. Go Battle League Season 1’s launch was very smooth and the reception of it was also well received but since then the League has been riddled with lag issues which are not constricted to a certain region. Niantic has responded to some complaints but we are yet to see the problem resolved.

The lag issues have become a nightmare for both amateurs and seasoned players, more infuriating for latter for sure. Some games saw the tides turn where a person who was about to win, lost because of the lag issues.

The issue seems to be that mid-game player seems to lose connection and when they finally re-connect their attacks did not do any damage to the opponent but they have taken a beating and the opponent has built up Charge Attacks. How frustrating would that be!

Niantic Aware of the Issue
Niantic has always been proactive and communicates well with the fanbase. When players got to twitter showcasing their frustration, Niantic rose to calm them down and convincing that the issue will be dealt with soon.

Niantic support responded to many messages, apologizing to them. A thread with trainer @swisstony239 was more detailed. Niantic said that they are working on many solutions to the issue and the next update would look to mitigate any damage done.

Sorry to hear about the trouble, Swiss. We’re investigating this issue, and are working to have several fixes in our next update that should mitigate some of these issues. Having said that, we'll share your feedback with our team. Thank you for your continued patience! ^AS

The date of the update is still unknown but we appreciate that Niantic is onto the problem and intend on fixing it. So we just have to wait and see when the issue is resolved.

Go Battle League was a superb addition to Pokemon Go especially because of the current health scenario where a lot of players are shut at home. The mode is very strategic and has a subtle complication to it.

We are sure that the players would be thrilled when the lag is fixed and Pokemon Go regains the momentum of being the highest-grossing game.
