Longvinter Server DownNot Found Issue Is there any fix yet

Longvinter has come a long way since its early access days, evolving into a full-fledged open-world survival sandbox where you can fish, farm, craft, etc. But what happens when you’re all set for an adventure, only to be greeted by the dreaded “Server Down” or “Server Not Found” message? Frustrating, right? Well, don’t worry! In this guide, we’ll dive into possible fixes, and workarounds to get your expedition back on track!

You’re not alone if you just picked up Longvinter and can’t find or join any servers. Many players have reported issues with servers being down or not appearing in the list, especially after updates or maintenance periods. Now, the question is: is there any possible fix yet? Keep reading till the end to find out the answers.

Longvinter Server Down/Not Found Issue: Is there any fix yet?

Longvinter Server DownNot Found Issue Is there any fix yet

The Longvinter 1.0 patch has officially dropped, bringing a host of improvements and fixes, including some server-related tweaks, but unfortunately, the “Server Not Found” issue still lingers for some players. While the devs haven’t directly addressed this specific problem yet, there are a few potential workarounds you can try. They might not be a guaranteed fix, but they’re worth a shot while we wait for an official update.

Restart and launch both Steam and game

A simple fix that has worked for some players is fully restarting Steam and the game. Close Longvinter, exit Steam completely (make sure it’s not running in the background), and then relaunch both. This refreshes the connection and can resolve server list issues caused by temporary glitches. It’s a quick and easy step, so give it a shot before diving into more complex troubleshooting!

Switch Regions

Another potential workaround for the “Server Not Found” issue is to change the server browser filter from “All” to your specific region. When “All” is selected, the server list fails to populate properly, making it seem like no servers are available. To fix this, go to the server browser, switch the filter to your region (e.g., Europe, North America, or Asia), and refresh the list.

Check Your Internet Connection

The next thing you can do is to make sure your internet connection is stable by running a speed test or trying other online services. If you’re experiencing slow speeds or connection drops, restarting your router/modem might help. For the best experience, consider using a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi.

VPN and Firewall

If you’re using a VPN or proxy, try disabling it. Some servers may block or struggle with VPN connections, causing the game to fail in retrieving server lists. Switching to a direct connection might resolve the issue. Your firewall or antivirus could be blocking the game’s connection. To fix this, add Longvinter as an exception in your firewall and antivirus settings. You can find these settings in Windows Security > Firewall & network protection > Allow an app through the firewall.

These are the workarounds we have for now, and we hope one of them helps you solve this issue in Longvinter without a hitch. If you’re still facing issues, keeping an eye on official developer updates is your best bet. Hopefully, this problem will be permanently fixed in a future patch.
