Kingdom Come Deliverance II (KCD 2) Motion Blur How to disable it (2)

Motion blur can be a hit or miss in games. Some players love the cinematic feel, while most find it distracting or even nauseating. If you’re in the second group and want to eliminate the blur in Kingdom Come Deliverance II, you’re not alone. Motion blur can be a headache, especially if you are playing on a modest PC. Now the deal is that the game doesn’t always make it easy to toggle this effect off, but don’t worry—we’ve got you covered. Here’s how to disable motion blur and enjoy a clearer, sharper experience!

Motion blur is one of those visual effects that divides players. Some appreciate the added sense of speed and smoothness, especially during fast movements or combat. On the other hand, many players find it distracting, making the screen look smeared or reducing clarity during quick camera movements. For some, it even causes discomfort or motion sickness. Whether you love it or hate it, having the option to turn it off is always a plus, and luckily, there are ways to do just that in Kingdom Come Deliverance II.

Kingdom Come Deliverance II (KCD 2) Motion Blur How to disable it

Disabling motion blur in Kingdom Come Deliverance II is not at all difficult! It can be done from the in-game settings. Still, if you are confused about the process, just follow the step-by-step instructions which we have described below.

How to disable Motion Blur

  • Open the Settings Menu: While in the game, press the Start button on your controller or the Escape key on your keyboard. This will bring up the main menu.
  • Navigate to Graphics Settings: Select the Settings option from the menu. Once inside, go to the Graphics Settings tab.
    • Do not select the Advanced Graphics Settings page—motion blur settings are found in the standard Graphics Settings section.
  • Locate the Motion Blur Option: Scroll down the list of settings until you find Motion Blur.
  • Click on it and toggle the setting to Off.

Disable Depth of Field (Optional)

After dealing with the Motion Blur, there are still a few more tweaks that you can try out. That said, if you want an even clearer image, consider turning off Depth of Field (DoF) as well. Depth of Field, while different from the traditional motion blur, still creates a blur effect in certain areas, especially when focusing on objects or characters. Disabling it can make the game appear even sharper. You can find the option to toggle this feature off in the graphics settings just like with the motion blur settings. After you make the changes, don’t forget to save and apply the changes

That’s it! Your game will now run without motion blur, giving you a much clearer and crisper visual experience. If you ever want to re-enable it, just follow the same steps and turn it back on. We hope that clears your doubts on this matter. And, for more such interesting content, make sure to visit DigiStatement daily!
