How many developers do you think it takes to build a game from scratch? Well, one is enough because, after being in development, the 1.0 version of The Last Flame is out now and yes, you got that right! A solo dev is behind this game! That said, if you are playing the game and wondering how to dismiss/switch between heroes, you have come to the right place.
Well, it is not unlikely that many are confused about how to dismiss a hero in this game. You too must have watched and played through the tutorial and still left with no clue about switching heroes. So, what is the deal? What is it that you are missing out on? Well, don’t worry, here we are with all the details you need on how to dismiss/switch heroes in The Last Flame.
The Last Flame: How to Dismiss/Switch Heroes?
First, we will go over the process of switching heroes and after that, there is a slight caveat that the developers have mentioned.
How to Dismiss/Switch Heroes?
Switching heroes in The Last Flame involves managing your party composition strategically to optimize your chances in battles. To switch heroes, follow these steps:
- Access the Hero Panel: Navigate to the Hero Panel where all your recruited heroes are displayed. This can usually be accessed from the main menu during non-combat phases or at a camp.
- Select a Hero to Replace: To replace a hero, click on the hero card of the current active hero you want to switch out. This will bring up details and options for that hero.
- Choose a New Hero: To dismiss/switch, all you have to do is click on the small red boot icon at the bottom left of the card. It is a bit small and you might have to squint your eyes to have a proper look
After clicking on the icon, you are all set to dismiss/switch heroes in The Last Flame. Now, for some reason, if you are not able to see this red button, here is what the deal is.
The caveat
The developer of The Last Flame pointed out an important caveat regarding hero dismissal and switching. Players might not see the red boot icon (used for dismissing heroes) unless they meet a specific condition: having more heroes than the maximum number allowed on the battleground. By default, the game permits only five active heroes in battle. If you haven’t recruited a sixth hero or more, the dismissal option won’t appear in the Hero Panel. Once this condition is met, you’ll see the small red boot icon on the bottom-left corner of a hero’s card in the Hero Panel, allowing you to dismiss them and free up space for recruits.
Well, we hope that in future updates, the button will be more visible and the details about hero switching will be explained in detail in the tutorial. That should clear your doubts on this matter! You are all set to dismiss/switch heroes in The Last Flame. Now, for more such interesting gaming-related queries, make sure to visit DigiStatement first.
