Atlyss Multiplayer Not Working Issue Is there any fix yet (2)

Simple, magical, and absolutely addictive! That is how you might describe Atlyss and rightly so; the game is indeed making waves in the community. You can play it solo or even with/against friends and other online players. That brings us to the main issue that many players have been reporting of late: the in-game multiplayer not working. So, is there any fix for this yet? Keep reading to find out.

Well, many players are indeed having issues with the multiplayer mode in Atlyss, such as being unable to find each other’s lobbies or getting instantly disconnected when joining via Steam invites. And in some cases, multiplayer functionality may not work at all! This can happen when searching for friends, inviting friends, or trying to join. So, how to fix it? We have shared workarounds for the same.

Atlyss Multiplayer Not Working Issue: Is there any fix yet

Atlyss Multiplayer Not Working Issue Is there any fix yet

We do not have an official fix or any words from the developers but we do have some suggested fixes and tips that are worth trying out. Although these fixes are not guaranteed to work for everyone.

Restart the game and Launch the world first

First things first, try restarting the game and if that does not work out, restart your system as well. After a restart, to play multiplayer in Atlys, you need to launch your world first with a character of your choice. Once you’re in the game, open the main menu, and you should see an invite button. You can then invite friends to join your session.

Check Internet

How good is your internet? If you’re having trouble connecting in Atlyss, check your internet connection first. A simple fix is to restart your router, switch to an Ethernet cable if you’re on Wi-Fi, or even try switching networks entirely. All these steps might help you resolve connection issues and improve pings when playing multiplayer.

Select Worldwide

A workaround for multiplayer connection issues in Atlyss is to ensure that when your friend joins your server, they select “Worldwide” as the server region. This setting can resolve issues with connecting, especially when playing across different regions. For example, when hosting the game, this approach allowed the user’s friend from Indonesia to join without any issues.

Server Password?

Are you trying to play on a password-protected server? If you’re having trouble with multiplayer in Atlyss, it could be due to the server, which uses a password to connect. So to deal with it, try launching it as a private server without a password. With the password removed, your friends should be able to join more easily without needing the password.

Whitelist

Adding the game to the whitelist of your antivirus software or Windows Firewall is yet another fix that has worked for some. To do this, open your antivirus software. Look for a section called “Settings” or “Preferences.” Here, search for the “Exclusions” or “Exceptions.” options.  Then, add the game’s installation folder or executable file to the list of exclusions. Save the changes and try launching the game again. To add the game to the Firewall’s exception, follow these steps:

  • Type “Windows Defender Firewall” into the search bar and open it.
  •  In the left pane, click on “Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall”.
  • Look for “Atlyss” in the list below.
  • If it’s not there, click on “Allow another app” to add the game.
  • Make sure to check both the Private and Public options for Atlyss.
  • Finally, click “OK” to save your changes.

Verify/Update

Since Atlyss is still in early access, verifying the game files and checking for updates is another effective workaround. To verify the files, right-click on the game from your Steam library, select Properties, and then the Installed Files tab. Here, click on the verify game files option. If your game files are all ok, try checking for any pending updates, as early-access games often receive frequent updates to address bugs and improve performance.

We hope that you were able to go back to enjoying multiplayer in Atlyss. Now before you leave, don’t forget to bookmark DigiStatement for more gaming reads like this, and click here to find out how to change your character name in the game.
