Music can be a great friend while you work around the fields and run errands in Farming Simulator 25. Thankfully, just like in real life, you can tune in to the various radio stations in the game. But since you clicked on this guide, it is clear that you are not able to change through the different available and custom radio stations in the game. In that case, keep reading this till the end to find out if there is a fix yet.
Well, multiple players have reported that the in-game radio becomes unresponsive, specifically with the “4” and “6” keys failing to change stations. While the “5” key still toggles the radio on and off, the station remains stuck, often defaulting to a specific channel like the Queens Rock station. So, is there a way to squash this bug?
Farming Simulator 25 Radio Stations Not Changing Issue: Is there any fix yet
First and foremost, we do not have an official fix or a sure-shot fix for this issue. But since a lot of players are affected, we do have some player-suggested fixes that are worth trying. We have listed all of these fixes below!
Restart the game
If you’re facing the radio station issue in Farming Simulator, the first thing to try is restarting the game. Exiting and reloading often resolves glitches and restores functionality, including the ability to change radio stations. Simple but effective! And if restarting the game does not help, go ahead and give your PC/console a restart!
Re-Enter and Keep trying
A simple fix for the radio station issue in Farming Simulator is to exit the vehicle and then get back in. This action often resets the radio controls, restoring the ability to switch stations. It’s an easy solution worth trying. Also, try pressing the “5” key to turn the radio on, then press it again before using the “4” or “6” keys to change stations. This may reset the radio and allow station cycling.
Reset Keybinds
A potential workaround for the radio issue is to reset the keybinds to default, which may temporarily restore the ability to change stations. However, this fix often works only for the first vehicle used and may break again afterward. To avoid losing custom settings, it’s recommended to back up your keybind configuration file before resetting so that you can apply it later.
Tip: If you decide to reassign the station switching function to different keys, try the F4 and F5 keys. Be sure to test the new setup and back up your keybinds in case of further issues.
Controller?
If you are playing the game using a controller, here is what you need to do to change radio stations. Just press the RB (Right Bumper) and LB (Left Bumper) buttons simultaneously, then use the left arrow on the D-Pad to cycle through stations. If that does not work, it may be worthwhile checking the controller keybinds to make sure everything is in order.
Switch Vehicles
Here is another workaround to try: If the radio fails to change stations in one vehicle (e.g., a Challenger), try entering another vehicle like a harvester, where station switching may work. Afterward, returning to the original vehicle might let you switch between different radio stations again. It has worked for some, so do give it a try.
Reload save
If none of the above-mentioned workarounds do the trick for you, the only reliable way to fix the unresponsive radio station issue is to reload a previous game save. This is a much more drastic step and should only be considered if you have a recently saved file. Also, be prepared to replay some sections of the game!
And that is all the effective workarounds we have for now. We hope that the developers will release a patch/update to resolve this issue once and for all. Anyway, if you want to add custom radio stations in Farming Simulator 25, here is our guide on how to do so! Also, stay tuned to DigiStatement for more daily gaming reads like this.
