Farming sims have had a blast in recent years, with many studios coming out with their own farming sims. This brings us to Sun Haven. The causal farming simulating gameplay along with the pixelated graphics is making the game super popular among fans who dig into this genre. Now, Patch 1.4 of the game is live and it has brought forth a whole host of new content. So, here we are with all the details of Patch 1.4 in Sun Haven.
The last major update for Sun Haven dropped in October 2023, which brought new romanceable characters, new building options, and various other gameplay improvements. New Regions
The Brinestone Deeps is the newly added region in Sun Haven, which you can unlock with this new patch. It is a region that is teeming with adventure, new bosses, underwater-themed monsters, and unique NPCs. You can explore new areas, complete dozens of quests from the Brinestone Deeps Bulletin Board, and discover new resources like underwater-themed rocks. And that is not all; if you fancy yourself as a chef, you can also master new food recipes based on themes of this aquatic environment. This and much more are waiting for you in The Brinestone Deeps with the 1.4 patch update in Sun Haven.
New Romancable NPCs
With the 1.4 patch update in Sun Haven, there are two new romanceable NPCs that have been introduced: Karish and Zaria. Karish is a Shark Amari with a “big heart” who wants to be a hero even in the depths of Brinestone Deeps, where the lore is that heroes are not typically celebrated. On the other hand, we have Zaria, known as the Redwash Corsair/Mercenary. This character is portrayed as the most feared Water Elemental in the Deeps. Initially, Zaria does not attend any events in Sun Haven until you reach her second hangout event. After this, you can pursue a romantic relationship with her, unlocking deeper interactions and quests associated with her character. One thing to note is that these characters become available for romance only after completing the Brinestone Deeps storyline. This update also introduces Goodnight Kiss cutscenes, which are triggered when you sleep in your spouse’s bed. But there are some caveats to this! First of all, these Goodnight Kiss Cutscenes are available only after marriage and after you have a Tier 3 house. Apart from this, all romanceable characters have received updates, including new wedding speeches, unique daily animations, and dialogue for when you turn down dates or marriage proposals.
Kids
Now you can have children with your spouse asking to have a child post-marriage. You can wish for a baby at the Wishing Well, customize your toddler’s appearance, and complete quests to raise your child. A new Nursery Crafting Table lets you craft all the baby essentials. Divorce will not result in the child disappearing, but remarriage allows for a new child. What’s great is that you can take the child away if you have had enough and all you need to do is wish for this at the Wishing Well.
New Black Market
The 1.4 patch update introduces the Sun Haven Black Market. To reach this black market, you have to go through a newly opened manhole east of the Sun Haven Cafe. You can explore the sewer, catch new fish, and cook new recipes in this Manhole. The Black Market uses a unique currency that the game calls “Black Bottle Caps”. This can be obtained by selling quest items to a merchant. Speaking of which, three new merchants offer pet eggs with rare variants, chess and game-themed furniture, and 14 new hats. Additionally, a Stat Exchanger has been added, through which you can trade Mana for HP or vice versa.
