Initially released back in 2013, developer RobTop’s Geometry Rush is considered one of the best rhythm-based action platformers out there right now. Originally launched for mobile, the game is now available on PC too. While we don’t know the full player number, we do have information on the Steam version. And it’s pretty great. At the time of publishing this, the Steam version of Geometry Dash had a 24-hour peak of about 15,913 players. A very respectable number for a game as old as this. And a testament to just how fun and popular Geometry Dash is. So much so that developer Rob Topala has even gone on to release three spin-off titles called Geometry Dash Meltdown, Geometry Dash World, and Geometry Dash SubZero. Now, as fun as Geometry Dash is, unfortunately, there are some technical issues with it that players are quite annoyed about. A major one is the issue that is making Geometry Dash not open or launch on iOS 17. And this guide here will help you with that issue.
The main reason why Geometry Dash doesn’t launch on iOS 17 is due to Apple removing support for 32-bit apps on iOS 17. Players have been quite frustrated with this, as the issue has plagued Geometry Dash for quite a while. So, can this issue be fixed? Well, that’s what this guide here will show you. So, without much further ado, let’s go ahead and check out if this issue can be resolved or not.
Geometry Dash not opening iOS 17: How to fix it
Players can try the following workarounds to fix this issue. Try them all and see which ones are of help to you.
Update –
Well, the fix here is simple. Simply update Geometry Dash to the latest version (2.2 and later), as it’s meant to deal with the iOS 17 compatibility issue. Do so and that should be all you need to fix this issue. But if the issue continues, switch to this next method.
Downgrade iOS version –
Downgrading your iOS version can also help fix this issue. However, use this method only if you are comfortable with it. In case you aren’t, check out other workarounds mentioned here.
Reinstall –
You can also try reinstalling Geometry Dash and see if that works out. At times, the reinstall method can work, so give it a try and hopefully, it will fix this issue.
Try alternative games –
In case none of the workarounds are of help, then unfortunately, there’s nothing else we can recommend besides trying out other alternative GD titles like GD Lite, GD SubZero, GD World, and such.
Well, that’s all the workarounds we have for this issue right now. You can also take a quick look here if you want to know whether Marvel Rivals will be heading to mobile.
