The WWE 2K series continues on with the release of its latest addition, WWE 2K24. Developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K, WWE 2K24 was released on March 8, 2024, and so far has received pretty favorable reviews from critics. And while the gameplay stuff is great, the game does have a lot of technical issues. Of which a major one happens to be the infinite white screen at launch issue.
As of this moment, we don’t really know what’s causing this issue. Anything ranging from outdated graphics drivers to missing game files can be a cause here. Whatever the cause may be, this issue needs to be addressed ASAP. So, is there any fix for it? Well, let’s go ahead and find out.
WWE 2K24 Infinite White Screen at Launch: Is there any fix yet
There are no official fixes for this issue, as of yet. As such, players will have to make do with the following potential workarounds:
Restart –
Well, the very first thing that we recommend you do is simply restart both the game and the PC. Start with WWE 2K24 and if it doesn’t help, restart your PC. If this restarting method doesn’t work out, try another workaround.
Use High-Performance Mode –
It could be that the game is running on Power saving mode instead of High-Performance mode and as a result, you are getting a white screen at launch. As such, what you should do is manually change the game’s Graphics preference to High performance. And you can do that by:
- Open Windows Settings and navigate to Display > Graphics.
- Find WWE 2K24 in the list below. If it isn’t there, click on the Browse button and add the game.
- Next, click on WWE 2K24 and choose Options.
- From the three options presented, select High Performance. End the process by clicking Save.
Update –
Make sure that the game is updated to the latest version available. And while you are at it, don’t forget to update both Windows and your graphics drivers. However, if the issue continues to persist, despite updating everything then check out another workaround.
Remove mods –
If you are using any third-party mods in WWE 2K24, then consider removing them and then trying to launch the game.
Repair game files –
Missing or corrupted game files can also lead to such issues. And the only way to fix that is by verifying and repairing game files. You can do that by:
- Open Steam and navigate to the Steam Library.
- Now, find WWE 2K24 and right-click on it.
- Select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files.
Reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable –
Players can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and see if that works out. Just click here and get the x64 .exe. Install it and see if the issue continues to persist.
Reinstall game –
If none of the workarounds fixed the issue, then all there’s left to do is a full reinstallation of the game. Also, ensure that you install the game on an SSD instead of an HDD.
For console players –
If you are encountering the white screen issue in WWE 2K24 while playing the game on your console, consider power cycling it as this has been the most effective workaround to fix the issue.
