Contra Operation Galuga Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go, & Asus Rog Ally Support Details (2)

Iconic as ever, the legendary Contra series makes a triumphant return with Contra Operation Galuga. As one would expect, fans are dying to try out the reimagined classic on the various platforms it is released on. What is more interesting is that the game, which historically has been enjoyed on mobile gaming devices, is released at a time when handheld gaming is seeing a renewed surge with the advent of gaming hardware like the Steam Deck, Asus Rog Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go. So naturally, players are now seeking support details for the game on these devices.

With support for handheld gaming devices, you will get to experience the nostalgia of Contra anytime, anywhere! The game’s perfect blend of classic run-‘n’-gun action and modern upgrades makes it an ideal title for handheld gaming on the go. But the question remains, will the players get to relive the iconic Contra moments in the palm of their hands? Continue reading to find out.

Contra Operation Galuga Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go, & Asus Rog Ally Support Details

Since the game is still a fresh release, there is no concrete information regarding the support details of this game for devices like the Steam Deck, Asus Rog Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go. So, we will have to rely on reports and the firsthand experience of players who have been trying to run the game on these handheld devices. Here is what we have found:

Steam Deck

When it comes to the Steam Deck,  Contra: Operation Galuga isn’t officially listed as “Deck Verified”. And that is not all, it also lacks the “Playable” tag. Sounds worrisome, right? But here’s the good news: players have spoken up! They have taken up online forums and discussion threads where they have reported that, despite the lack of official support, the game works just fine on the Steam Deck. Even the demo ran on the Steam Deck, so it is obvious that the full game will also support the same platform.

Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go

Just like the Steam Deck, the Asus Rog Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go don’t have official support for Contra Operation Galuga. But do not lose hope yet! Similar to many other games without any official support for the Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Go, Contra is playable on both of these handhelds. When you consider the fact that the Steam Deck, being slightly less powerful and also running on a Linux-based Steam OS, could handle the game just fine, it is not surprising that the Asus Rog Ally and Legion Go are likely to have the chops to run it smoothly too. And if all of this doesn’t convince you, there is gameplay footage on both the Asus Rog Ally and the Lenovo Legion Go (demo) for you to go through.

So, whether you own a Steam Deck, an Asus Rog Ally, or a Lenovo Legion Go, you should be able to play the game on any of these devices without many issues. Well, we hope this article was helpful.
