Who would’ve thought that one of the biggest disappointments of 2024 would be from Rocksteady Studios, the same guys that made the incredible Arkham Trilogy? Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is Rocksteady’s latest title, having just launched on February 2, 2024. Unlike previous games from the studio, SSKTJL is a live-service third-person action shooter where you will band together with other members of Task Force X for one simple mission: Kill the Justice League. Ever since its launch, the game has been marred with major issues ranging from game-breaking bugs to matchmaking problems. While players continue to look for workarounds to all these issues, many also happen to be quite curious to know whether the game is CPU or GPU-intensive.
Such questions don’t really need to be asked when a game is properly optimized. Unfortunately, most developers these days tend to focus on PC optimization later on or sometimes don’t even at all. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is also another new addition to the ever-growing list of unoptimized messes. It’s also why it’s important to know if a game is more dependent on the CPU or GPU. So, without much further ado, let’s go ahead and find out all about this.
Is Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League CPU or GPU intensive?
A Brief Look at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s System Requirements
Well, before discussing whether the game is CPU or GPU intensive, it is important that you take a look at its system requirements. A game’s hardware requirements directly correlate with its performance.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League – CPU or GPU intensive?
Just by taking a quick look at those requirements, especially the recommended processor requirements, it’s safe to say that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a pretty CPU-intensive title. While the GPU requirements are certainly up there, they pale in comparison to the CPU requirements. The AMD Ryzen 7 5800 X3D specifically is a 2022 release and has 8 Cores, 16 Threads, and a 96MB L3 cache. Quite a powerful CPU, especially for gaming. Compared to that, the GPU requirements are certainly manageable.
Even players have reiterated the fact that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a CPU-intensive game. People with GPUs like the RTX 4090 or RX 6800 are struggling to run the game at a stable frame rate, all because they are limited by their CPU. Plus, with the game having an open-world design and a focus on multiplayer, it was bound to be a game that heavily relies on a system’s CPU capabilities. So, if you want to experience a comfortable Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League play-session, then upgrading your CPU should be a priority if you haven’t done that already.
