Oh, what a long wait it was for Granblue Fantasy: Relink. But at long last, fans can finally get to enjoy one of the best ARPGs of 2024. Officially announced back in August of 2016, Cygames launched Granblue Fantasy: Relink on February 1, 2024, for PC and PlayStation platforms. As expected, the game has been receiving an incredible amount of appreciation, with special praise going towards the game’s solid battle system and beautiful visuals. While the game is certainly enjoyable on PC and PS, many in the community have been asking whether the game supports PC handhelds. And that’s what this guide here will help you know about.
The Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go, and the Asus Rog Ally have firmly established themselves as some of the best PC handhelds on the market. While other alternatives from Onex, and Ayaneo do exist, most of those are held back by price and availability. The Deck, Legion Go, and Rog Ally, on the other hand, offer a better experience, including after-sales. PC handhelds have also been on the rise lately due to this, and as such, whenever a new game releases, someone is always there to ask if they will be able to play it on whatever device they are using. This is also the case with Granblue Fantasy: Relink. So, let’s go ahead and find out if you can play the game on PC handhelds.
Granblue Fantasy Relink Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go & Asus Rog Ally Support: Is it available?
As of now, developer and publisher Cygames. Inc. hasn’t officially announced Granblue Fantasy Relink being supported for the Steam Deck, Legion Go, and the Rog Ally. The Steam Deck compatibility category for the game right now is Unknown according to ProtonDB, and as for the other two PC handhelds, Cygames has yet to share any relevant information on them.
While Cygames might have refrained from sharing any information on the game being playable on PC handhelds, we know that Granblue Fantasy Relink runs just fine on all three devices. Currently, the ProtonDB page of the game has many reports under the Steam Deck section, but it pretty much states that the game plays just like the native version with no issues. And when it comes to both Rog Ally and Legion Go, there are a plethora of videos available online that show Granblue Fantasy Relink running without any issues at all. So, if you are worried about GFR not being playable on your PC handheld, we suggest you abandon these thoughts and install and enjoy the game on whatever device you are using. By the way, for those playing the game on the Deck, you should install CryoUtilities and use its recommended settings to get some more performance out of the device.
