At this point, it’s safe to say that Palworld is one of the biggest hits of 2024 and we aren’t even halfway through the year. Well, it’s still continuing its rise to the top, having sold over 6 million copies in a matter of four days. Aside from the usual PC and Xbox crowd, there’s also a subset of the PC handheld crowd who are enjoying it on their Lenovo Legion Go, Rog Ally’s, and whatnot. Speaking of the Rog Ally, many users have been asking about playing the game with FSR3 by using the mod but the problem is they don’t know how to. Don’t worry, though. This guide is here to help you with just that.
Unlike the Steam Deck, both the Lenovo Legion Go and the Rog Ally run on Windows 11. This makes it easier for users to play Windows games, something that Steam Deck users can’t do easily. The Rog Ally is especially popular with many who want something more powerful than the Deck. While Palworld does seem to run at an acceptable framerate on the Ally, a lot of players want to use FSR3 to enhance performance and graphics. So, without much further ado, let’s go ahead and find out how you can install the FSR3 mod for Palworld to get high fps and performance.
Palworld ROG Ally FSR 3 Mod for High FPS & Performance: How to Install
The following instructions will help you install the FSR 3 mod for Palworld on your ROG Ally. Just follow these carefully and you will be enjoying Palworld with FSR 3 in no time.
- First of all, you need to head to LukeFZ’s Patreon page and get the FSR 3 mod from there. Note that you will need to upgrade from Free Membership to either Beta Enjoyer or Feature Connoisseur to get access to the mod.
- After downloading the mod, open File Manager, and in Downloads, you will find the fsr 3 mod folder. Now, before you open the mod folder, launch the game once. This is so that the .toml file can be created inside the folder.
- Now, open the mod folder, which will contain the following:
- fsr2fsr3.config.toml
- FSR2FSR3_SDK
- FSR2FSR3_210
- FSR2FSR3_220
- FSR2FSR3_COMMON
- Now, enter the FSR2FSR3_SDK folder and copy the FSR2FSR3.asi file.
- Next, head over to this path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64. Paste the copied file in there.
- After that, head back to the mod folder and open the FSR2FSR3_COMMON folder. Inside, you will find three files: optional_nvngx, winmm, winmm.dll
- Copy both winmm and winmm.dll, and paste them to the previous Win64 folder.
- Next, copy the fsr2fsr3.config.toml file and also paste it to the Win64 folder.
- Now, you need to open Steam, switch to Library, and then select Palworld. Open Settings > Properties > General. Under Launch Options, type in “-dx12”.
- Close Settings and launch Palworld. Once the game opens, open Options > Graphics. Set DLSS to Quality or any other preset and enjoy Palworld with FSR3.
