When it comes to naval warfare games, nothing beats Wargaming’s World of Warships. Released back in 2015, it’s available on most major platforms except for the Nintendo Switch and macOS (discontinued). Wargaming has been pretty good at keeping WoW fresh, thanks to regular content drops. And the recent one just came in the form of Update 13.0, which is what this article will be focusing on.
For World of Warships fans, new updates are always something to look forward to. From new ships to voiceovers, there’s just so much to look forward to. So, it’s only evident that this new Update 13.0 is something WoW fans would want to know all about. So, without much further ado, here are all the details regarding Update 13.0.
World of Warships adds new aircraft carriers, a fresh bounty hunt event & much more
Update 13.0 of World of Warships has introduced early access to the upcoming U.S. Aircraft Carrier line. These ships total in three and are Independence, Essex, and Yorktown. Besides this, Wargaming also added camouflage for Essex and Yorktown in particular, along with a commemorative flag.
There’s also the new event, of course. In this event, players will get a U.S. Aircraft Carriers Event Pass, comprising about 20 levels in total. To progress through this event pass, all you will need to do is complete weekly and daily missions. Complete this event pass, and you will be able to receive Tier VI Independence. The event pass also gives the players the ability to unlock a second progression line, which can be completed to receive Doubloons. This one, too, has 20 levels, and finishing it will net you the following rewards:
- Tier VIII USS Yorktown
- Bonus package for USS Yorktown
- Commander Statue of Liberty with 6 skill points and an individual voiceover
- Freedom permanent camouflage for Tier X Des Moines
Ahoy again, Hololive!
Hololive is back!! Players can now get a number of Hololive commanders along with individual voiceovers. Moreover, you will also be able to obtain camouflage and a memorable flag. You can also complete combat missions, which will allow you to choose between Commander Fubuki Shirakami, who comes with a total of six skill points already trained for I Hashidate, or Commander Moona Hoshinova, who has six skill points trained for I Chengan.
American Tokens and Sestri-Ponente Dockyard
During the event, players will be able to exchange their American Tokens for USS Essex, along with a 10-skill point Commander and a Port slot. Additionally, you will also be able to obtain permanent camouflage for USS Essex and Yorktown, Wings of Freedom Premium containers, and yes, credits too. To get these American Tokens you can either receive them via random bundles for Doubloons or by finishing the extra levels for the second progression line of the Event Pass. The random bundles also offer the usual Fee XP, Elite Commander XP, Credits, and such.
Sestri-Ponente Dockyard is still continuing with the construction of the Michelangelo cruiser in Update 13.0. Note that during the first three weeks of this update, you will be able to finish combat missions and advance through the construction of the Dockyard, which will help you get the ultimate reward—the cruiser Michelangelo.
Michalengelo’s construction process has about 31 phases, of which 27 can be completed by finishing Dockyard combat mission groups. The shipbuilding phase can also be completed by spending about 1750 Doubloons per phase and by purchasing Starter Packs. 10 phases can be progressed by exchanging 10000 Doubloons and 5 for 6000. Note that the Sestri-Ponente Dockyard will remain in your port until Update 13.1, so if you want to get all the rewards, start playing WoW now.
Bounty Hunt Event, Star Emissaries, Armory, and Ship Parameters Display
The previously announced changes to Bounty Hunt are finally here. The event will be available in Random Battles. For those taking the Bounty role, you will need to use Tier VI-X ships. The Star Tokens you earn through the event can be used to spend in the Star Emissaries Armory, of which the main rewards happen to be Bionic permanent camouflage for Des Moines, Baltimore, and Buffalo.
In the Star Emissaries event, you will be able to use Doubloons to purchase random bundles that have STAR Kitakaze, STAR Edinburgh, Commanders Andromeda, and Triangulum with 10 skill points and individual voiceovers.
Halford is now available in the armory for 228,000 Coal. Halford happens to be the first hybrid destroyer in WoW, and it possesses an attack aircraft tactical squadron that’s equipped with Engine Cooling consumables. Wargaming has also added a feature that now allows players to see ship parameters during battle. All you need to do is click on an opponent or allied ship in the Team window, and the game will show you hit points, armament ranges, movement speed, and other information on the selected ship.
Upgrades for Elbing and Gouden Leeuw
Update 13.0 also brings with it unique upgrades for the Tier X German destroyer Elbing and the Tier X Dutch cruiser Gouden Leeuw. This upgrade can be mounted in Modification Slot 6, so don’t forget to try it out.
Lastly, Update 13.0 also introduces Ranked Battles Season 15 and three brawls in different formats for players to enjoy. Well, that’s all the information we have on this matter.
