The Steam Deck is a wonderful device that has completely changed the landscape of PC handhelds. Since its release in 2022, the Deck has convinced more major players to try their hands at the PC handheld market and it’s all been so great for consumers. From Asus’s Rog Ally to MSI’s upcoming MSI Claw, it’s the best time to be a user of PC handhelds. If you are reading this guide, then chances are you have already ordered a Steam Deck for yourself but are now having issues with the tracking number.
For the uninitiated, a tracking number is a series of unique numbers that are provided by the courier service to its customers upon the purchase of a Steam Deck or also during repair and such. This tracking number can then be used to know where a particular order is, or, to put it simply, what the status of an order is. Now, tracking numbers with issues is not a new thing. From customers getting the wrong tracking number to late status updates, anything can be a cause behind this. So, how can you fix it? Well, here’s everything regarding the same.
Steam Deck tracking number not working: How to fix it
Users can try the following and see if any of them are of help. Make sure you follow these steps carefully:
Wait for a few more days –
Sometimes tracking numbers can take more time to get updated than you normally expect. As such, what we suggest you do is wait for at least 48–72 hours and then see if the tracking number is working or not. In case this doesn’t help, try the next workaround.
Check the tracking number on the shipper’s official app or website –
Players can also check tracking numbers on a delivery company’s or shippers’ official app or website and see if the status is updated there. If you are in the US or Canada, your Deck is likely being delivered by either FedEx or UPS. And for those in the EU and UK, it will be either DHL or GLS.
Make sure you are entering the correct tracking number –
Some customers get issues like this simply due to not entering the tracking number correctly. So, you should double or even triple-check your tracking number and then enter it for tracking. It’s a very minor thing, but it does happen frequently enough to warrant this workaround.
Contact Support –
In case none of the aforementioned workarounds are of help, we highly recommend that you contact Valve and let support take a look at this issue. Valve is pretty great at customer support, so be sure to explain the problem thoroughly.
And that’s all the workarounds we have for this issue. Additionally, if you want to know how to install WeMod on the Deck, take a look at this guide. Lastly, for more such guides, keep following DigiStatement. Also read: Expeditions A MudRunner Game Steam Deck Support: Is it available
