Consider reading this article until the end to find out how to pet cats in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage.

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series is one of the largest RPG series in the world, which most players are familiar with. This was once again portrayed by the high anticipation from the fans surrounding the release of Assassin’s Creed: Mirage. The latest title in the series, AC Mirage, came out on October 5, 2023, for a bunch of gaming platforms. This includes Microsoft Windows, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Furthermore, the game is also scheduled for an iOS release (specifically for iPhone 15 Pro models) in early 2024. Irrespective of which platform you’re on, the ability to pet cats in the game remains the same. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at how to pet cats in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage.

How to Pet Cats in Assassin’s Creed Mirage?

How to pet cats in Assassin's Creed Mirage

If you want to have an animal companion in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, it’s more than possible. The game offers a host of animals that you can use as pets. From camels to horses to even a massive eagle, the game has it all. In fact, as you continue playing AC Mirage, you’ll notice that the eagle, Ekidu, will be one of your most useful companions in the game. The cats in the game, however, aren’t really “useful” in this regard. Even then, petting them is quite a fun activity in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and if you want to do it, we’ve got it covered.

So, the main part of the story of AC Mirage takes place in the city of Baghdad. As you roam around the city as the protagonist, Basim, you will notice a number of cats on the streets. If you identify as an “ailurophile”, or “cat person” as they call it, then you may as well be interested in petting these furry friends. You can indeed do this with the simple click of a button.

  • When you see a cat in the game, approach them slowly. When you’re near them, you will get a pop-up that will allow you to interact with the animal.
  • When you receive the pop-up, press the E button on your keyboard, or the triangle button if you’re using a PlayStation controller, or the Y button if you’re using an Xbox controller.
  • Doing so will allow you to pick up the cat and pet it. The cat will also show affection for your character by stretching and rubbing its head against their body.

Finding Cats in Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Well, you don’t have to visit any specific location to find cats in the game. There will be plenty of cats around the city of Baghdad for you to interact with. Simply keep your eyes open, and you’ll definitely stumble upon one of these animals sooner rather than later.
