Gunfire Games has just released the sequel to their 2019 title, Remnant: From the Ashes. This brand new game, titled Remnant 2, has been made available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on July 25, 2023. The first Remnant game was a massive hit, and players were really looking forward to Remnant 2. In hindsight, the game’s doing pretty well, with players loving the gaming experience and the visual treats. However, with that being said, the entire story is somewhat different. If you remember playing Remnant From the Ashes, you’re probably aware of the errors that the PC version of the game had. As of now, Remnant 2 is no better. One error that has bugged the players recently is the “out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource” issue in Remnant 2. In this article, we’re going to share details on how to fix this error on your PC.
With Remnant 2’s release, fans were looking forward to playing the game as they pleased. However, several errors have made the gaming experience a bit tricky for the players. Recently, a Steam user with the username Void shared on the game’s Steam discussion forums that they couldn’t play Remnant 2 due to the out-of-video memory issue. Several other players have also shared that this is a frequent occurrence in the game. However, with the right workarounds, you can indeed troubleshoot this error.

For Epic Games Launcher
To exit the Epic Games Launcher, right-click on its icon on the system tray of your taskbar. Now, select the Exit option.
Restart your PC
The next thing that you need to try if you’ve encountered this error is to restart your PC. Simply turn it off, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on. Then, open Steam/Epic Games launcher and launch Remnant 2 to check if the issue persists.

- Select Check for Updates to prompt Windows to run a check and install all possible updates.
