Minecraft 1.20 Update: How to find a Sniffer Egg?

Sniffer eggs have a unique look. It appears in a reddish-brown form with green spots here and there. Well, to get the eggs, there are only two methods for you to follow.

Method 1: Venturing into the Warm Ocean Ruin regions of Minecraft

The only known location of Sniffer eggs, for now, is the suspicious sand located in the Warm Ocean Ruins of Minecraft. These regions are located near biomes like Deserts, Savannahs, and Badlands. You can also try checking out the regions of Luke Warm Ocean Ruins, which are usually located near Jungles and Savannahs. Be aware that these regions are places where the ‘Drowned’ usually spawns. So be ready to fight underwater whenever needed. If you are having trouble finding the region, you can use the cheat mode and type in the given command to locate the nearest Warm Ocean Ruin.

When you have located the Warm Ocean Ruins region, start looking for suspicious sand blocks. These sand blocks are identical to the usual sand blocks. So use your senses to locate them. After locating the suspicious sand blocks, start using a brush on them. You do not want to break the egg located inside the suspicious sand. So be careful. Upon using a brush to mine the block, you will slowly see an egg pop up, and soon the egg will be added to your inventory.

Method 2: Let them Breed

The second obvious method to get a Sniffer egg is by letting a couple of Sniffers mate. For this, you should have two Sniffers. Now, all you need to do is feed them Torchflower seeds. This will lead them to mate with each other. And upon completion of the mating process, a sniffer egg will be dropped.

Well, these are the known methods of getting yourself a sniffer egg in Minecraft. Sniffers look cute and are passive, making them great creatures to be added to the list of adorable Minecraft creatures. We hope you find this guide insightful. So why the wait?
