Studio Wildcard is all but prepared to part ways with their debut title, Ark: Survival Evolved. The Redmond, Washington-headquartered video game development studio is gearing up to release the remaster of ASE called Ark: Survival Ascended along with developing the sequel, Ark 2. Aside from that, players on mobile have been found complaining about the “God console not working” issue in the game.
Ark: Survival Evolved Mobile, as the name itself suggests, is the mobile version of Ark: Survival Evolved available for Android and iOS. The “God console” is a purchasable single-player-only feature that can be used for accessing cheats ranging from instant crafting to infinite stats. But due to unknown reasons, the console isn’t working properly for many. And so, here are a few workarounds that might help you deal with this particularly annoying issue.
ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile god console not working: How to fix it?
This is a frequently occurring issue that has plagued the players of Ark: Survival Evolved on mobile. But this also means that it can be solved fairly quickly using the following workarounds:
Restart the game –
The very first thing you should always try with issues like these is to simply restart the game. Although it is not totally guaranteed to work, you can still try this method. Make sure that the game is removed from the Recent Apps list on your mobile device.
Update Ark: Survival Evolved –
In case you haven’t updated Ark: Survival Evolved in a long time, we sincerely recommend that you do so as soon as possible. Keeping a game outdated is never good, plus the devs release fixes for issues and such in these updates, so it’s a no-brainer when it comes to updating games. Visit the Play Store or App Store and update the game to its latest version, if available.
Ensure that you are signed into the same account that was used to purchase the God Console –
If you are logged into another account that was not used to purchase God Console, then you will not be able to use it (pretty obvious). So, do ensure that you are logged in with the correct account on which the God Console was bought. Also, consider heading to the in-game store, and tapping on the restore purchases button. This should fix the issue.
Some effects of God Console need to be turned on when you log back in –
If you didn’t already know, effects like Infinite Stats, Instant Crafting, Fly, Invulnerable, Learn Engrams, and Hide UI get reset after you quit the game. To get those stats back, you will need to enable them once again. As such, this “God console not working” issue could simply be you not knowing about it. The God Console can’t be accessed or used during pursuits/quests or while bounded to special items like Artifact.
Redownload the game –
Follow this workaround only if none of the aforementioned fixes work for you. Some players did find this issue completely resolved after they uninstalled the game and then redownloaded it from the App Store/Play Store. So consider giving this method a try.
