Ark Survival Evolved Rhyniognatha taming guide Here's how to tame & get it

The immersive world of Ark Survival Evolved encompasses a breathtaking landscape teeming with majestic creatures, treacherous environments, and endless opportunities for exploration. Players find themselves stranded on a mysterious island filled with prehistoric wonders, where survival is the ultimate goal. To thrive in this hostile world, players must master the art of taming and domesticating the diverse range of creatures they encounter. Now, as you might have known, we have a new creature to learn about and hopefully train. Rhyniognatha is the name of the creature, and a lot of players are looking for ways to tame this giant prehistoric insect. If you are one of those players, don’t worry; we have got you covered. Keep reading as we walk you through the process of obtaining a Rhyniognatha and taming it in Ark Survival Evolved.

Speaking about the Rhyniognatha, it has various abilities, including the ability to fly, land on water, swim, harden itself for damage reduction, carry objects and vaults (even if full), carry players and larger creatures, and perform different attacks such as a needle shot, rocket shot, missile launcher, and a resin grenade attack. It can also intimidate smaller to medium-sized dinosaurs with a taunt. All in all, it is one of those new additions to the game that you should definitely try for yourself. But how? How can you tame this creature and make it your companion in Ark Survival Evolved?

Ark Survival Evolved Rhyniognatha taming guide Here's how to tame & get it

Coming straight to the point, Rhyniognatha can be spotted on either The Island or the Lost Island maps. Now, taming the Rhyniognatha begins with the crucial step of attracting the creature using a pheromone, which you can obtain by killing another Rhyniognatha. Apply the pheromone to one of your tanky creatures and patiently wait for the insect to take the bait. If you are lucky, a Rhyniognatha will show up and start attacking the baited animal. This is the time for you to get into action. As with many creatures in Ark Survival Evolved, the taming process involves lowering the creature’s health while avoiding unintentional kills. So, carefully reduce Rhyniognatha’s health to 100 HP using a net gun or other preferred means. Be careful, and make sure to avoid accidentally killing the creature while knocking off its HP. Once the Rhyniognatha’s health reaches the required level, it will impregnate the bait animal, initiating a countdown timer.

Allow the timer on the bait animal to run out, and when it reaches zero, a baby Rhyniognatha will burst out of the bait animal, ready to be captured and tamed. Keep in mind that the creature or dino used for bait will be gone forever once the baby Rhyniognatha emerges from it. This newborn creature will require some care and feeding to ensure its survival and growth. You can feed it various food items, including Kibbles, Veggie Cakes, Shadow Steaks, Freya Curry, Gasoline, Giga Eggs, and more. When it grows up into a mature Rhyniognatha, you are free to use all of its abilities. Also, make sure to imprint it like you do for any creature in the game.

Well, that is how you can get and tame a Rhyniognatha in Ark Survival Evolved. We hope all your doubts have been cleared. For more tutorials and news on the latest gaming trends, stay tuned to Digistatement.
