Diablo 4 How to enable FPS Counter

Lilith is back, and the Sanctuary is in danger. Your job as a player in Diablo 4 will be to stop her and her minions. Since it’s a Diablo game, dungeon crawling, quests, and events are a staple. Fans have waited for quite some time to get their hands on a new mainline entry. After all, Diablo 3 came out way back in 2012. Well, the wait is over because Diablo 4 is just around the corner. With the official date being the 5th/6th of June (depending on your region) and players who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition already having early access, excitement is at its peak right now. Well, since the game has made improvements in the visual department, the strain on the hardware is likely going to increase. Amidst all this, what really matters is the FPS of the game. But how can you monitor the FPS of the game? Can you even do it via the game itself? We have all the answers to these questions, so keep reading.

What’s even the point of monitoring in-game FPS? Well, if you are new to the PC gaming scene, then you need to know that perhaps the best thing about playing on a PC is the amount of control that the platform offers when it comes to games. In a nutshell, most PC players are a bit tech-savvy, and keeping track of the FPS can help them figure out the best settings for the game. Or perhaps they are trying out a visual mod and would want to know its impact on the overall FPS of the game. The point is, the reasons could be endless, and there might be a time when you too might need to know what FPS you are getting in the game. With that being said, let’s see how to enable the FPS counter in Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 How to enable FPS Counter

If you had played the previous title, Diablo 3, then you might have known that there was no way to see the FPS from the in-game options. So, players had to resort to using features provided by their GPU’s support software, like Nvidia GeForce Experience, or third-party software like MSI Afterburner. Luckily, with Diablo 4, you won’t have to go through all of that hard work. You just have to press a combination of shortcut keys on your keyboard to enable the in-game FPS counter. The shortcut keys are “CTRL+R“. It’s that simple; press Ctrl+R and you will see your in-game FPS displayed on your screen. If you press the key combo again, you will be able to view your in-game latency as well.

Keep in mind that this feature is only available to PC players. Console players, sadly, will not be able to monitor their in-game FPS. The devs may add this feature to the console version of the game, but that is a possibility for the future and, honestly, just speculation on our part, so take it with a grain of salt. Anyway, this is all we have to share on how to enable the FPS counter in Diablo 4. If you found this article helpful, follow Digistatement for more reads like this.
