Street Fighter (SF) 6: How to disable Screen Shake

Street Fighter games have a long history going all the way back to the 1980s, when they were limited to arcades only. Since then, with advancements in game development, the quality of the games has just kept improving, and now players can enjoy SF games on their PCs, consoles, and even on the mobile platform. Fast forward to now, and we have a brand new Street Fighter game. Yes, that’s right, because Street Fighter 6 has hit the shelves, and fans of the franchise are already diving into it. Speaking about the game, it’s the usual Street Fighter stuff: 2D fighting with some of the iconic characters like Ryu. Of course, this entry will introduce new characters to the roster, with online play being an option. But we are not here to talk about how good the game is; instead, we will share details on how to disable the screen shake effect. Apparently, a lot of players are finding it nauseating.

Now, if you don’t understand what we mean by “Screen Shake”, don’t worry; we have got you covered. Actually, the game is filled to the brim with visual effects from the attacks and moves of each character. During an intense fight, when punches and other abilities are being used at a blistering speed, your whole screen shakes to convey the impact of the attacks. This screen shake effect is purely a visual element, and for most players, it turns out to be a nauseating experience. So, if you had been wondering why the screen seemed to shake during combat, now you know the reason. With that out of the way, keep reading to learn how to disable the Screen Shake feature in Street Fighter 6.

Well, not everyone will be fond of the Screen Shake feature in SF 6, which is why knowing how to disable it is necessary. So, how can you do so? Luckily, you won’t need to tweak any .ini files of the game to disable it. The process is actually quite simple and can be done from the in-game settings menu itself. Still, to make the process easier for you, we have shared the exact steps for you to follow. Check them out!

  • First and foremost, begin by launching the game.
  • Next, head to the “Multi-menu” section from the home screen.
  • From the multi-menu, choose and select Options.
  • In the Options menu, you will see a lot of tabs on top of the screen. To access the Screen Shake feature, go to the Display tab.
  • Now, in the Display tab, select “Basic Display Settings”.
  • In the menu that opens on the right side, you should be able to see the Screen Shake option. Now all you need to do is turn it Off.

Well, there you have it; just follow the steps and you won’t be bothered by random screen shakes while fighting enemies in Street Fighter 6. It is worth noting that you can only turn the feature off or on since there is no way to set the intensity of the shake to the level you desire. We hope this was helpful.
