Uninstalling the game

There are chances that the cause of this error is a faulty installation. To correct this issue, you should consider uninstalling the game and then reinstalling it back again. Corrupted game files can cause multiple issues, so it is best that you download the game once again from the PS Store.

Check for updates

Make sure your game is up to date. Oftentimes, the game files are not corrupted, they are just outdated. To check for updates, head over to the notifications icon on the Playstation menu screen. If the game has an update available, it will be notified there. Connect the console to the internet and download the update, if available.

Update system software

Check if your console’s software is up to date. To do this, go to the safe mode of your Console by simply pressing and holding the power button. After this, again press and hold the power button and it will make two beeping sounds. This means that now your console will start in safe mode. Once that is done, reconnect your controller with the USB cable, press the PS button, and select “Update system software”. If there is an update available, it should be downloaded.

Relaunch the game

Sometimes, the fix is much easier than we think. Try to simply remove the disc if you have the disc version and wait for a couple of minutes before reinserting again. There might be chances that it was simply a glitch showing the error, so your game should work after this.

Restart console

Make sure you try the method of completely switching off the console and then restarting it. If there was some minor issue with the console, this will surely fix it. After restarting it, try to launch the game now.

Rebuild Database

To do this, enter the safe mode on your console using the steps above and this time, select “Rebuild Database” and follow the instructions on the screen. Then, simply restart your console and relaunch the game.

Check available storage

Having low storage can also trigger such issues. To make sure that your storage is enough for the game, go to the Settings menu on your console, and from there, select Storage. If your console storage is not enough, delete other games and make space for GoW Ragnarok.
