Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is known for its multiplayer modes. Likewise, voice chat communication is very important for chatting with teammates during matches. The game also offers a number of options for you to customize your voice chat. This also means that you can enable voice chat for specific friends or your party only. One of the biggest reasons for wanting to voice chat specifically with only friends or a party is privacy. Likewise, having a voice chat open to all lobbies can be very messy at times. Therefore, it is very useful to have the option to voice chat only with friends or a party to have more focused communication during matches.

COD Modern Warfare 2 (II): How to Only Hear Party or Friends

Here are the required steps –

  1. Well, for the first step, you have to launch the game. Then, go to the home screen and bring up the Quick Menu. From there, go to the Settings option.
  2. Next up, you have to go to the Audio tab in Settings. You can now see a number of audio settings that you can adjust. Likewise, you have to now scroll down to the Voice Chat section.
  3. Under the Voice Chat section, you have to set the Game Voice Channel to Friends Only or Party Only. After doing so, you have to go back to the Quick Menu and go to the Channels tab.
  4. Then, you have to go under the My Channels section and invite your friends to your Voice Chat Channel.
  5. Finally, you can now chat privately with your party or friends in the game over voice chat.
