The game has a massive open world. There are quests, objectives, and other collectibles scattered throughout the map and so navigation can become an issue. The game has an objective marker system called the Blue Dot Prompt which serves as a compass. It guides players in the direction of the next objective in the game and makes sure they get there in the shortest route possible.

The initial selection of these prompts occurs in the Astra Shelter around the time you get your first real mission. The game asks you to opt-in or opt-out of this system of objective location and navigation. If you are someone that wants to explore and go crazy, by all means, turn this off. But, that being said, leaving this on does not take away from the exploration aspect of the game in any way and can sometimes be a handy tool to get you to an objective.

Luckily, toggling this setting on or off can also be done in the middle of the game. You can toggle this setting on or off in the settings menu at any time in-game. In order to do so, follow these steps;

  1. Open Settings by clicking on the three Hexagonal dots on the top right corner of the screen.
  2. In the Dropdown menu, select the Settings option.
  3. Here, go to Display Preferences.
  4. You will find the Show Blue Dot Prompts setting toggle there.

Once you have toggled it on, or off, you can continue playing the game. The Blue Dot Prompt will display corresponding to your selection in the games settings menu. Toggling this setting is one of the simplest changes you can make which will have a significant impact on how you play the game.
