Captain Tsubasa is one of the most popular football anime which showcases the journey of a teenager Tsubasa and his dream to play football for his country. Captain Tsubasa anime is based on the Japanese manga series which was created by Yōichi Takahashi in 1981.
The first animation of the series was done in 1983 & it featured 128 episodes. The series was directed by Hiroyoshi Mitsunobu & was originally aired on TV Tokyo. The popular series was recreated in 2018-2019 & it was directed by Toshiyuki Kato.
There is good news for Tsubasa fans, as Bandai Namco will release a game based on Captain Tsubasa.The game has been titled as Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions and it will release on PC, Nintendo Switch & PS4. You can check its trailer down below.
Bandai Namco has also released a press release regarding the game which can be read as follows : It has “toon shading [with] realistic effects”, combining arcade action gameplay with updated graphics. “This is an exhilarating action game that enables players to enjoy scoring goals, while performing dream skills against opponents at high speed by mastering the simple controls.”
