Many Rust players are always looking for ways to enhance their gameplay as well as experience. Customizations can be very useful to personalize your gameplay. Can you change your character?

The short answer is Yes, but unofficially. However, there is a caveat. The caveat is that you can only change your character by using multiple Steam accounts. Likewise, it is currently not possible to change your character in the game officially. Although it is possible to change your character in the game unofficially, you may not be able to get your preference specifically. Therefore, you may have to create 10 or 100 accounts on Steam. This is a very inefficient way to change the character that you want in the game.

How to change your character unofficially in Rust –Rust

Here are the steps on how you can change your in-game character –

  1. First and foremost, you have to make sure that you have a copy of Rust in your Steam library.
  2. Next up, you have to make sure that your Steam profile is set to Public.
  3. Then, you have to right-click on the game and select the Properties option. After doing so, you have to go to the Compatibility tab and make sure to run Rust as an administrator.
  4. Now, you have to go back to your Steam library and right-click on Rust.
  5. Finally, you have to click on Properties and go to launch options. Once you are in the launch options, you have to type codes. These are codes that correspond to how your character appears in the game.

Here are some of the character codes –

Gender codes:

  • Male: -gdr20m
  • Female: -gdr20f

Color codes:

  • Low White: -rcW_low
  • Heavy White: -rcW_high
  • Low Black: -rcB_low
  • Heavy Black: -rcB_high
  • Asian: -rc_asn

Size of Chest:

  • Size 1 (smallest): -sz6s
  • Size 2 (medium): –sz6m
  • Size 3 (large): -sz6l

Hairstyle:

  • Hair style1: -rcH_1
  • Hair style2: -rcH_2
  • Hair style3: -rcH_3
  • Hair style4: -rcH_4
  • Hair style5: -rcH_5
