It was introduced mainly to act as a cloud-based storage system, where players can store all their Pokémons from the different titles in one single app. It also came with a new feature popularly known as Global Trading System (GTS), which allowed players to trade their Pokémons with other users around the world. Using this feature, you can get hold of new Pokémons that you may have been looking for a long time. The app comes in two different versions one for Nintendo Switch and another for mobile. If you want to utilize the app to its full potential, then you must use both of these versions together.

How to unlink your Nintendo account from Pokémon Home?

Unlinking your Nintendo account is a bit tricky, and you must know the right steps in order to do it. There is no official process currently available, but we will provide you with a workaround process which should work just fine. Before we move into the process, you must know the effects of unlinking your Nintendo account. The data in your Pokemon Home will be safe with all your Pokémons. But just that your Pokemon Home will not be in the same ecosystem as before, until you connect it with a new Nintendo account. You will not be able to access any features of Pokemon Home until you link your account again. To unlink your Nintendo account, follow the steps below carefully, and you should be all set to go.

  1. First of all, you need to create a new Nintendo account.
  2. Then, unlink the linked Nintendo Switch account.
  3. After this, link the newly created account to your Pokemon Home app.
  4. Uninstall the app from your device and then again reinstall it.
  5. Now, your primary Nintendo Switch account is unlinked from the Pokemon Home application. Also, you can do whatever you want with the second account, maybe ditch it.
