Halo Infinite is the newest Halo game developed by the beloved developers in Xbox Studios and 343 Industries. It is a revamp of the Halo franchise with updated graphics, new weapon balances, and the same characters that made the Halo franchise one of the most popular franchises ever. Halo Infinite is available as a Microsoft exclusive meaning it will only be available on PC and Xbox and not anywhere else. It has been released as a 2 part game with one part being multiplayer and the other being the Story mode of the game. In this article, we are going to be taking a look at how to unmute in Halo Infinite on Xbox & PC.
Halo Infinite has a free-to-play multiplayer mode which is where you are going to be needing the mic for the most part. In order to communicate with your teammates, it is recommended that you use a mic over pings and texts as it is more efficient and convenient to give information through audio rather than asking your teammate to keep track of texts and pings when playing. Halo Infinite is known for having pretty intense multiplayer matches with bullets and people flying all over the place.
How to unmute in Halo Infinite on Xbox & PC?
The most likely reason you are unable to use the mic on the headphone or the game is likely because there is a connection issue between the headphone and the system of the wrong keybind being pressed to unmute. You can try one of these methods to help you unmute in-game;
1). Reconnect the headphones-
If you are using wired headphones, unplug and reconnect to the system. If you are using Bluetooth headphones, disconnect and reconnect to the system. This will refresh any disabled option and will let you unmute in the game.
2). Check the input-
It may be possible that the wrong input is being detected by the game for the mic and hence you are unable to unmute, if this is the case, change the input to your headphone and you should be able to unmute and take to your teammates in Halo Infinite.
3). Change the mic method to open mic-
To do this, head to ‘Settings‘.
Select the ‘Audio‘ section and click on ‘Voice Options‘
Now, click on the ‘Open Mic‘ section. That should solve the issue.
4). Check the keybinds for unmute;
If you are on a PC and you cannot unmute, it is a good idea to confirm what the keybind for push to talk is, just in case you are clicking the wrong key to speak and hence you are unable to speak.
