DayZ not showing servers on Xbox: Fixes & Workarounds

Xbox players were treated to an amazing survival game back in 2018 in the form of DayZ. The game takes place in the post-apocalyptic world of Chernarus where a plague has turned the population into “infected”. The players must go through the world of Chernarus while actively scavenging for supplies. Players share the servers so the probability of them running into other players is pretty high. Being an online game, DayZ has a lot of server issues that have plagued the experience of players for some time now. One particular issue is the blank server screen which has led to a lot of anger within the Xbox community. Let’s look at some ways to deal with this issue.

A blank server screen has plagued the Xbox players for some time now. Players that are trying to go online have been reporting an empty server screen. But don’t worry we have some fixes for you. So without wasting time, Let’s get to it.

One reason for this issue could be due to some incompetence on your ISP’s end. Now, to make sure that isn’t the case, you should restart your router. Here’s how you can do it:

  • Turn your router off and make sure it isn’t connected to any outlets.
  • After you’ve waited a short while, turn it on again.
  • Launch your game after you’ve turned your router on.

Continue reading if the issue still exists.

Restart your game

Regarded as the oldest trick in the book, this method is a universal fix for almost everything. Whenever something goes wrong with a piece of hardware or software, simply restart your device and check if the problem still exists. Just quit out of your game and restart your Xbox Console.

Clear server filters

If you’re trying to go online with a lot of server filters set, then it’s quite possible that your filters are what’s preventing you from seeing any servers. Let’s look at how you can fix this:

  • Find the server select list.
  • Clear all the filters you have set.
  • Click on the apply filters button.
  • The available servers should now be in front of you.

The issue should now be non-existent.
