Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most hyped games of 2020. It is being developed by the studio behind the Witcher series, CD PROJECT RED. The game was scheduled to release on April 16, 2020, but now it will release on September 17, 2020, five months later.
“We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there’s still work to be done,” said Marcin Iwinski and Adam Badowski, co-founder and head of studio at developer CD Projekt Red.

They further said that “Night City is massive — full of stories, content, and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing and polishing. We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be our crowning achievement for this generation and postponing launch will give us the precious months we need to make the game perfect.”
